Joiner-mover-leaver

Joiner-mover-leaver automation, end to end

Every identity goes through three moments: someone joins, someone moves, someone leaves. Each is a list of tasks across Microsoft, the service desk and your applications. Automating them from the HR system is the core of identity lifecycle management.

Joiner

The account is ready before the first day: a username by your naming convention, the groups and licence that belong to the role, a mailbox, the manager set, and a Temporary Access Pass so the new colleague can register MFA without a password in an email.

Mover

A change of job, department or location in HR changes the role. The new access is added and the access that belonged to the old role is removed, so nobody collects rights as they move through the organisation.

Leaver

On the end date the account is disabled, sessions are revoked and the licence is freed. The mailbox can become a shared mailbox for the manager, an out-of-office is set, and after a retention period the account is deleted. For an urgent case, an emergency block does all of it at once.

Beyond the directory

A lifecycle is more than Entra ID. Joinly's workflows continue into the service desk, with an incident in TOPdesk or a request in Freshservice, and into any application with a webhook, each step waiting for the one before it.

Frequently asked

Questions about Joiner-mover-leaver automation, end to end

  • What is a joiner-mover-leaver process?

The set of tasks that follow when someone joins, changes role or leaves. Automated from HR, each event triggers the right account and access changes without a ticket.

  • What happens with someone who has two contracts?

Joinly treats them as one person with one account. The account is disabled only when the last active contract ends.

  • Can a leaver be handled before the end date?

Yes. The emergency block disables the account, revokes sessions and resets MFA immediately, with the reason in the audit log.

  • Where is the data processed?

In Amsterdam, inside the EU. Joinly is ISO 27001-certified.
